Johannes Duve, the seeker. worldwide…
Wuppertal, Germany / Accra, Ghana / ...and now...?
This page is dedicated to my ongoing search for my half-brother.
My half-brother was born Michael Meineke on September 23, 1960, in Wuppertal-Elberfeld; our biological mother was Ingeburg Meineke, who was born in Bremen.
Following the deaths of my brother in 2024 and my mother in 2025, the half-brother I am seeking is now my closest living relative—which makes the search all the more important to me.
I only learned of his existence in 2022/23 through in-depth conversations with my brother. It was a great wish for both of us—and my brother’s final wish—to find him.
I would like to know if he is still alive, if he is doing well, and where he is located. I certainly do not wish to intrude upon his life.
Anyone who has searched for relatives knows just how demanding such a search is, both emotionally and in terms of time.
Perhaps one day I can tell him about myself and our shared roots, and—if he wishes—help him search for his paternal family.
Please keep your fingers crossed for me and keep me in your thoughts and prayers π - for everything said and done eventually travels around the world.
That is how I ought to be able to find him, isn't it?
Thank you for your attention.
Johannes Duve
